The Ventoux

Cadel Evans won today's Stage 4 of the Paris-Nice bicycle race, which finished with a climb to the top of France's beastly Mont Ventoux.

I'm sure that he was going fast and all up the mountain, but was he going THIS fast:

(The video is titled MONT VENTOUX HILL CLIMB IN A F3000)

nice vid, david; no paddle shifters on the Formula car? WOW. Let's see NASCAR do that. (and no I don't even want to see one of those things even try.)
Actually I think Dr. John and maybe Chris/Peter can go ALMOST that fast up....

I wish the vid had the whole route. The road had barely turned up yet. All the real climbing occurs above the tree line.

Nice video! Check out the Isle of Man motorcycle TT sometime. It's takes place on England's Isle of Man island. City sreets and no crash barriers. Maybe some hay bales. These guy's are nuts! I believe the race is the first weekend in June. The course is 34 miles long and the fastest rider does 4 laps in like 1 hour 20 minutes or so.
